Ko Ahau - Metaphors

WALT use the language feature of metaphors

WALT carefully choose words when writing metaphors and explain why we chose them

Success Criteria:

• I can write a metaphor for each line of my Iain Sharp inspired poem
• I can give reasons for why I chose the words I wrote

E.g. What type of building is Room 25?

Room 25 is a gas station, fueling us for learning

“Room 25 is a place for learning and we learn lots of new things. The new things go into our brains like petrol goes into cars at a gas station.”

Reflection

I had to write what I am and use metaphors.

This was tricky because I had to figure out what I had to write. I thought of words.

Now I plan to write another poem.
